EARTHQUAKE HITS MEXICO ANEW
A 6.1 magnitude earthquak shook southern Mexico on Saturday morning,while a country still coming to cope with the devastation from a stronger quakes this month. It is in Oaxaca state a town about 275 miles southeast of Mexico City. The epicenter was between the centers of the two more devastating earthquakes namely the 7.1 magnitude that hit Tuesday and the 8.1 magnitude quake that struck September 8 near Chiapas state.
Some highways and a bridge that had been damaged during the September 8 earthquake collapsed in Oaxaca state. Mexico City Authorities warned siren\in Mexico City after the morning quake was detected. It interrupted rescue operations at some of the dozens of buildings that collapsed.

A 6.1 magnitude quake can produce damage to poorly built structures and and better-constructed buildings. The previous major quakes killed hundreds of people, destroyed buildings into debris in some parts of Mexico. Read more>>
