EARTHQUAKE HITS MEXICO ANEW

A 6.1 magnitude earthquak shook southern Mexico on Saturday morning,while a country still coming to cope with the devastation from a stronger quakes this month. It  is  in Oaxaca state  a town about 275 miles southeast of Mexico City.  The epicenter was between the centers of the  two more devastating earthquakes namely the 7.1 magnitude that hit Tuesday and the 8.1 magnitude quake that struck September 8 near Chiapas state.

Some highways and a bridge that had been damaged during the September 8 earthquake collapsed in Oaxaca state.  Mexico City  Authorities warned siren\in Mexico City after the morning quake was detected. It  interrupted rescue operations at some of the dozens of buildings that collapsed.

A 6.1 magnitude quake can produce damage to poorly built structures and  and better-constructed buildings.   The previous major quakes killed hundreds of people, destroyed buildings into debris in some parts of Mexico.  Read more>>

TRUMP'S NBA AND NFL CRITICISM

Trump condemned football players who refuse to stand  by sitting or protest in some other way during the singing of the  national anthem. He and called the attention of the the NFL owners for not coming down harder to their disrespect of the flag.
He said "Wouldn't you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, 'Get that son of a bitch off the field right now. He is fired. He's fired!" "Total disrespect of our heritage, a total disrespect of everything that we stand for. Everything that we stand for."
Meanwhile, NBA superstar Steph Curry for expressed  uncertain about whether or not to attend the White House visit celebration as a tradition for champions in professional sports.  Then Trump tweeted "Going to the White House is considered a great honor for a championship team.Stephen Curry is hesitating,therefore invitation is withdrawn!" But Lebron James tweeted  "U bum @StephenCurry30 already said he ain't going! So therefore ain't no invite. Going to White House was a great honor until you showed up!" Read more>>

The "Filipino Flash" Nonito Donaire, Jr. will come back in the ring this September 23, 2017 for a featherweight bout against  Ruben Garcia Hernandez of Mexico. He need to step up his performance to  guarantee his return to world-title contention.  The last time Donaire fought was last November and lost to Jessie Magdaleno his world junior-featherweight title via decision.Currently Donaire has a record of 37-4, 24 KO

Ruben Garcia  Hernandez, who has a record of 22-2-1, 9 KO whose  noteworthy career achievement is that he fights a lot.

FILIPINO GENESIS SERVANIA TO FIGHT FEATHERWEIGHT CHAMP OSCAR VALDEZ

Filipino boxer Genesis Servania will get his first fight at a world title when he faces unbeaten WBO featherweight champion Oscar Valdez. The fight is scheduled on September 22 in Tucson, Arizona. Servania of Bacolod City, has a record of  29-0, 12 knockouts. He is now training at the Kashimi Gym in Kanazawa, Japan since leaving the ALA Gym in 2014.

Oscar Valdez a Mexican fighter  from Nogales, Mexico has a record of 22-0, 19 KOs. He will defend his 126-pound world title when he takes on Genesis Servania.  

Tucson, Arizona is the second home of Valdez where he will fight as world titlist in front of his family and relatives.   Read more>>

ONE: HERO’S DREAM  has recently announced by ONE Championship as the main event for 3 November at the Thuwunna Indoor Stadium in Yangon, Myanmar. This event was announced by ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.

The card will be reigning ONE Middleweight World Champion “Burmese Python” Aung La N Sang  who will bout Alain “The Panther” Ngalani which is the  heavyweight Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion. Aung La N Sang fought in the ONE Championship cage this past June, when he defeated previously unbeaten Vitaly Bigdash of Russia to claim the ONE Middleweight World Championship.

Aung La N Sang became sporting icon in the  history of Myanmar.  Ngalani was just in the cage last weekend, when he knockout an impressive 11-second  over former ONE Heavyweight World Title challenger Hideki “Shrek” Sekine of Japan. It was  the fastest knockout in ONE heavyweight history.

TRUMP'S NEW TRAVEL BAN RESTRICTIONS

The Trump administration will show more restrictions on travelers from certain countries as a replacement to the controversial travel ban.The new restrictions will depend by country and could include travel ban to the United States. It could be new  restrictions on obtaining a visa for citizens of particular countries. 

 The restrictions might be  "tough" and "tailored," however, "temporary and may lifted again as circumstances change."
A twitter post  of President Donald Trump said  "far larger, tougher and more specific" travel ban was needed due  incident  in London "but stupidly, that would not be politically correct!" Read more>>

PH TROOPS PUSH FORWARD AGAINST MARAWI MAUTE TERRORISTS

Brave Philippine soldiers push forward under the cover of howitzer and mortar fire on Wednesday to move forward in areas heavily controlled by the remaining Maute terrorist and the Abussayaf group. According to the military, less than 20 hectares of the city with around 200 buildings, were yet to be cleared of the terrorists.

“We have expected to experience more firefights as we try to regain more ground,”  according toCol. Romeo Brawner, the Joint Task Force Marawi deputy commander.

The fighting started last May 23, s in the Muslim-majority city  and about  151 soldiers and policemen, as well as 47 civilians have been killed. The number includes “friendly fire” incidents.
The terrorist Maute group, the Abu Sayyaf faction headed by Isnilon Hapilon and their allies have lost 680 fighters, according to the military. Brawner said, the troops advance is slowed down due to the presence of the between 40 and 45 hostages held by the Maute. Read more>>

Former President Barack Obama slams his successor's plans on health care and foreign policy. He  called repeated efforts to repeal his signature health care law "frustrating" and defended institutions like the United Nations as important to diplomacy. 

He said "It may be frustrating that we have to mobilize every couple months to keep our leaders from inflicting real human suffering on their constituents."  He added, "we just have to reject the notion that we are suddenly gripped by forces that we can't control, and embrace the longer, more optimistic view of history and the part that we play in it. NORTH KOREA: TRUMP THREAT IS A "DOGS BARK"

Trump had a 'dog dream' says Foreign Minister Ri while he dismisses US president's threat to 'totally destroy' his country. He also compare US President Donald Trump's fiery threat to destroy North Korea as a "dog's bark". He said that Pyongyang would not be deterred by the rhetoric.  

Trump warn the North that Washington would "totally destroy" it if the US or its allies were attacked during his stormy speech at the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday.
 
"There is a saying that marching goes on even when dogs bark," Ri said. "If they are trying to shock us with the sound of a dog's bark they are clearly having a dog dream" he added.

EARTHQUAKE KILLS MORE THAN 200 IN CENTRAL MEXICO

A 7.1-magnitude earthquake in its epicenter  34.1 miles (55 km) south-southwest of the city of Puebla, in Puebla state, and 2.8 miles (4.5 kilometers) east-northeast of San Juan Raboso  according to the US Geological Survey. There are at least 216 people died in Mexico City and in the states of Puebla, Mexico and Morelos.  
After powerful earthquake in Tuesday rescuers searched for survivors through the night in Mexico City and surrounding states. The killing scores and leaving many trapped under collapsed buildings in the affected areas. This earthquake came more than one week after an 8.1 magnitude earthquake struck off the southern coast of the country that kills at least 90 people. MISSING WW1 GERMAN U-BOAT DISCOVERED

A wreckage of a German submarine sank during the First World War  has been found in the North Sea off Belgian Coast. The UB-II submarine is lying at a depth of 30m (100ft) off the is said to bee in good condition. According to West Flanders Governor Carl Decaluwé that there are bodies that  are still on board. The vessel is believe to have been sunk by a mine. Moreover, this sort of submarine would have had a standard crew of 22 and one commander.

It has  sustained damage to its upper side. The hatches were still shut. but the bow sustained the most damage. This type of submarines were built in 1915 and 1916 and able to dive to a depth of around 50m.

HURRICANE MARIA: A DANGEROUS CATEGORY 5 STORM

Hurricane Maria has widespread devastation in Dominica as it goes directly toward St. Croix and is approaching to Puerto Rico.  Strong winds of 257 kph, Maria affected millions of the population in the area.  Hurricane Maria is now the strongest to landfall in Dominica.


According to the National Hurricane Center, "a dangerous storm surge is expected to raise as high as 7 to 11 feet above normal tide levels in the hurricane warning area near where the center of Maria moves across the Leeward Islands and the British Virgin Islands."

CANELO ALVAREZ, GENNADY GOLOVKIN DRAW FIGHT

The fans are expected Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez to fight furiously in a world title fight. They did satisfy the boxing fans of their fierce and exciting fight. However,  the judges, ruled the fight in a split draw. Golovkin remained as a  unified middleweight title Saturday night  at the T-Mobile Arena.  Only  few were satisfied with the result.

Judge Dave Moretti scored the fight 115-113 in favor of Golovkin, Adalaide Byrd scored  it 118-110 for Alvarez, and Don Trella scored the fight 114-114. Many are not satisfied with the result and even Manny Pacquiao tweets "Did they bring these judges over from Australia?" refering to his loss from Jeff Horn fight. Read more>>

TRUMP'S FIRE AND FURY REMARKS TO NORTH KOREA IS NOT AN EMPTY THREAT

Nikki Haley a US ambassador to the United Nations  said that President Donald Trump's "fire and fury" remarks about North Korea's nuclear program was not an empty threat. According to CNN news report that "We wanted to be responsible and go through all diplomatic means to get their attention first," Haley said. "If that doesn't work, General Mattis will take care of it."
